Introduction

The access route to the Bezzi hut, a support point for many wonderful hikes in the upper Valgrisenche. Acute avalanche danger along the entire route from Usellières upwards. Particular attention to the narrows after Saxe Ponton.

.

Description

From the dam (1770m), go along the road, pass two tunnels, (watch out for the numerous stalactites forming on the rock walls, some very large), and reach the hamlet of Usellières. Continue (1784m, the fork in the road is also visible in winter) in a southerly direction, keeping to the orographic right bank in this section. Pass two plateaus and reach the Montagne Saxe Ponton (2047m). From here, follow the course of the Dora, which is covered with avalanches, cross the narrows and lean towards the orographic right bank and over bumps to reach the hut.
