Introduction

Alpe Devero is a ski mountaineer's paradise, with countless satisfying tours on powder snow in the beautiful forests. In particular, the entire slope from Corona Troggi to Punta della Valle is easily traversed with the possibility of numerous variations. The fairly sustained slopes, wooded at the bottom and open at the top, make all the tours satisfying. Perhaps you can then spend several days, spending the night in one of the many inns with rooms in various parts of the Devero plain or better still in isolated Crampiolo.

Description

From Devero it is possible to follow, but only in the absence of snow, the summer route on the right-hand side of the stream to Crampiolo. Normally in winter one crosses the plain to Canton, then ascends on the right-hand side along the snowmobile route to Lake Azzurro and with a slight descent reaches Crampiolo, an isolated hamlet on a beautiful plain. Continue into the valley keeping to the right, alongside Montorfano, reaching the Devero Lake dam. Now turn sharply to the right, east, climbing the steep wooded slope to the next plateau, Corte Corbernas, which is reached after a short descent. The space widens as far as the eye can see and many alternative routes can be followed. You can climb directly up the beautiful slopes, which are now free of vegetation (boulders and rhododendrons do, however, appear in poor snow conditions) to a further hump. Slightly downhill and in a semicircle to the right, without reaching the watershed, head towards the summit of the Corbernas, leaving your skis on the north-east ridge a short distance from the summit, which can be reached on foot in a short time (watch out for possible cornices). Absolutely magnificent panorama. Descent by the same route. Cartography
