Introduction
Beautiful climb that allows the very long descent to Usellieres. Recommended to be combined with the ascent of the [[Truc Blanc]].
Description
From the Bezzi hut (2284m), follow the Truc Blanc itinerary until you reach the steep slope below the pass. You then turn left until you reach the wide Giasson pass (3154m). Climb to the right and you are soon easily on the summit (3215m).
Descent Return to the col and descend northwards on the Giasson glacier (watch out for a few crevasses). Go a little to the right to reach the moraines and continue in the beautiful valley below to the alps of Mont Fortchaz (2180m). Now descend a little to the left (in a north-westerly direction) in the beautiful, well-skied forest, to reach the Arolla huts (1921m) and then the road just before Usellières.
