From the Varazze exit of the A10 motorway, descend until you cross Varazze. At Piazza De Gasperi, turn right into Viale Nazioni Unite and from the roundabout go straight into Via Piave, where you can park along the Teiro river (you may be able to use Via Montegrappa - shopping centre area - on the other side)

.Description
From Via Piave, turn right onto Via Bianca. The stairway climbs for a long time to a small road where you keep to the left. You cross via Ginepro and continue straight ahead You follow the signposted detours to the Beato Jacopo religious building. Here you go right, towards the Eremo del Deserto, on an almost level track. In a few minutes, it leads onto a wide dirt track (to the right), with extensive views. We proceed, with some minimal ups and downs, and at a fork (on the right the return) we turn left for the final ramp that leads to the Sanctuary of Nostra Signora della Guardia di Varazze in (tot. 2h - 402 m). Grandiose scenery in all directions...
After the lunch break, you return to the last fork and descend with several bends to the first houses of Varazze. We descend again to return to the cars (tot rit. 1h30).
In summary. Dif. T - 3h30 Tot. (2h and 1h30 ret. excl. stops) - 10.5 km - height difference +400 m. Walking comfort: excellent. Best period: from autumn to spring.
