Cappelletta della Baiarda, from Colla di Prà

    Access
From Voltri, take the road in the direction of the Turchino Pass, then turn right towards the village of Acquasanta. There, turn right towards the station. Beyond the junction for the railway stop, continue uphill to Colla di Pra (300 m), leaving your car in the few places available.
Description
Almost immediately, from the Colla di Pra (300m) above Acquasanta, you ignore the signs for the Beato Frassati path, continuing on a wide track. Branches are missed and the road takes on a series of hairpin bends. Continuing uphill, the track narrows. In a semicircle, past the Condotti stream (dry), there is the Cappelletta della Baiarda (closed) at 703 m. It is early in the day, but we do not mind a break. The Paganetto bivouac stands out in the distance. We set off again, until we reach an important crossroads where we cut almost level with the mountain. You pass a small house, losing altitude and plunging into a pine forest. A crossroads (palina) forces an almost 360 degree turn to the left. You briefly climb back up until you catch a glimpse of a ballast and, once you reach it, you reverse again. The Paganetto bivouac (710 m) is not far away, near Monte Riondo. The small building is very well maintained and another stop is a must. On the left, the Sanctuary of the Madonna della Guardia catches the eye. Afterwards, you pass a few ruins, losing altitude until you reach 'Cian de Figge' (625 m). The views of the coast are very beautiful! You still descend along the mountain ridge towards Pra (two possible options), until you cross the 'Lische Alte' path. One descends again, keeping to the right twice (the second from the 'Lische Basse' to close the loop). The route is falsopiano and follows the sinuosities of the terrain. Having forded some brooks, from a hairpin bend one joins the morning path. On the way down, there is a car waiting for you. E, difference in altitude 450 m, approx. 4h30/5h total, 11 km, very cool weather, with an annoying wind.
NB: In the event of an excursion, always check with FIE, Cai, any park authorities or other institutions, pro loco, etc., that there have been no changes that have increased the difficulties! No liability is accepted. This text is purely indicative and not exhaustive.
