    Access
From Santa Margherita Ligure you drive up to the Sanctuary of Nostra Signora del Carmine where there are some (not many) parking spaces.
Introduction
A loop along the Portofino mountain that always gives splendid sensations.
Description
We set off (148m) following the classic Fie symbol, mostly on cobblestones, leading to the Mulino del Gassetta (250m), a refreshment point (found to be closed, however). Shortly before reaching it, from the benches among the trees, we turn right uphill until we join the wide track that leads from Pietre Strette to Portofino. You arrive at the locality Crocetta (365 m - 1h15), where you decide to take a break. Reaching a new junction (393 m). you descend to the left with views of the coast and San Fruttuoso. From a new fork, there is a return to the left (Piano del Capo, 287 m). Momentarily, however, we descend again to admire the viewpoint of Base Zero (45'). From the crossroads (220 m), go straight for a few minutes with the help of chains set up for greater peace of mind, to the lay-by with 2 benches. Returning back, one could return along the classic sea route, but one chooses instead to ascend to an altitude of 287 m to follow a path that has only recently been opened. Follow the Fie geometric figures to the locality of il Campo (337 m). Here one abandons the signs to descend towards Prato. Afterwards, we climb again to Costa della Pineta (225 m), climbing further up to the fork that leads back to Mulino del Gassetta, where we close the loop and return to the car on the morning road (2h15).
In summary. dif. E - disl. 500 m - 11 km for about 4h total + all the breaks to see the various places we encounter. Walking comfort: fair. Best period: from autumn to spring. Time: medium. Tour interest: medium/high
