Description

Introduction

Description

We pass through the village, ignoring the turnoff marked x Rondanina. Beyond the cemetery, keep to the right and climb up to the carriageway by a bend. Continue along the asphalt road for a short distance and when it bends, go straight ahead on a dirt road (park sign). Further on, ignore the branch-off to Fontanarossa (40') and take a steep track. The view opens up to the left to Varni and Alpe and to the right to Fascia. Afterwards, the forest asserts itself. Emerging from the vegetation, one admires the vast Pian della Cavalla, which in May is cloaked in daffodils. Before reaching them, we ignore the track x Fascia, which we will follow on the return journey. Once on the plateau (35')  we hunt for the best possible photos. If you wish, but it does not detract or add anything, you can go to the top of Monte della Cavalla (1328m). The highlight is the blooms, of course. . .  After wandering around for a long time, you retrace your steps to the turnoff for Fascia (before a climb), where you plunge into the forest. The path is well marked and, in about 30 minutes, we cross the road in view of Fascia (1118 metres). This time we did not manage to eat at the Osteria dei Lilli, but the substitute was up to the task. . .  In fact, we went to the Agriturismo Spallarossa in Cassingheno and ate very well, spending 20 Euro from appetizers to coffee...  In addition, they sell their own cattle that they breed and slaughter!

All in all: a slightly cloudy but not cold day  disl  200 mt  Dif. T  for  approx. 2h30 h Tot. with all the breaks to see the various sights
